Preschool

2 ½ - 3 ½ Year Old

This beginning preschool program is a wonderful opportunity for children to come to school and begin a lifelong relationship with learning and socialization that is positive and fun! Our program allows children to develop friendships and begin their social development, such as sharing, problem solving, listening to others and following directions.

This program is a theme-based program which introduces a new alphabet letter, number, social skill, literacy choices and song/fingerplay each two week period. These concepts are explored in many ways that involve all of the senses. For example, the letter “A” will incorporate apple tasting, apple painting and making applesauce dough. Through these wonderful and enriching experiences, the children develop their self-esteem as they become so proud of their creations. We emphasize open-ended art activities that foster creativity.

The preschool program includes activities such as circle time, show and tell, art time, centers, snack time, potty time and outdoor play. Our activities focus on: color recognition, shape recognition, identifying, classifying, sorting, labeling and naming objects, alphabet introduction, reciting rhymes, songs and finger plays, social skills such as solitary play and parallel play with other children, expressing emotions, feelings, manners and self esteem.

Your child may or may not be potty trained to attend this early preschool program, however, we do request that they are wearing pull-ups during this 3 hour program.
